What we do
We catalogue real watch models with their key technical data: movement and drive, case size and height, crystal, water resistance and strap. We also classify each model by type, style and occasion, so you can quickly see whether a watch fits into your everyday life. The watch finder, the comparison and the guides are all built on the same catalogue.
Every watch gets an editorial rating between 1 and 5. It sums up how well a model combines design, technology and price in its class. This rating is an editorial assessment based on the available data and the market environment, not a user rating and not a lab test.
Where our data comes from
The technical data comes from manufacturer information and generally accessible, reputable sources. When in doubt, we would rather leave a model out than estimate figures. Even so, specifications can change; the details from the manufacturer and the shop at the time of purchase are always authoritative.
Our prices are deliberately labelled as guide prices. They are based on the recommended retail price and serve as orientation, not as a price promise. You can always see current prices directly in the linked shop.
How we use AI
Our running texts are produced with AI support and checked by a human before publication. The technical data, by contrast, comes from manufacturer information and is verified against manufacturer or retailer pages; it is not AI output. The editorial rating is also a human assessment. All images on this page are real photographs; we currently do not use AI-generated images.
Every text in which AI was involved carries the note AI text on the article. Exactly which areas this affects, how the editorial review works and how we would label AI images is explained in detail on the AI transparency page.
How we are funded
TopWatchReviews is funded through affiliate links. If you buy via such a link, we may receive a commission from the shop. The price does not change for you. Affiliate links are labelled as ads and have no influence on the selection, rating or order of the models.
We only show shops with which a partnership actually exists. If a model is not listed at any partner, we say so honestly, instead of showing dead buttons or fantasy offers.
Who is behind it
Seydhan Cakmak is the founder of Cakmak Digital and has been building independent comparison and guide sites for years, including the four catalogues of the TopReviews network. At TopWatchReviews he is responsible for catalogue maintenance, data checking and editorial work: every model is checked against manufacturer or retailer information before inclusion, and every rating is labelled as an editorial assessment.
